The Keystone Loening, familiarly known as "The Duck", was a typical plane used by the Air Ferries, Ltd. for their short 6-minute trip across the Bay. Fares on the San Francisco to Oakland hop were $1.50 each way. This same trip by boat cost $.21 and took 40 minutes.
